It is already Saturday for The 60th Macau Grand Prix. Under blinding sunshine and warm weather, the Qualification Race for the main event Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix took place.
The Qualifying Race consists of 10 laps, and the result will be used as a grid for tomorrow's Final Race.

The pole sitter of this race was acquired by Raffaele MARCIELLO as a conclusion of the overall qualifying results held between Thursday to Friday.

At 14:06 the red light went out and each car started the race. But pole sitter MARCIELLOfs start was not so good, and at the first corner Felix ROSENQVIST who finished in 2nd in the Qualifying Race got the top lead.

However at the Mandarin corner, Alex LYNN who finished in 3rd in the Qualifying Race raised to the top and took the lead.
But then at Lisboa corner, LYNN stepped on the brakes and went slightly out just as ROSENQVIST drove through and once again took the lead at San Fransisco corner.
As the once again first place ROSENQVIST was gaining distance on the mountain side, safety cars from the opening lap were entering the track to remove some cars that crashed on the grid right after the start.

The safety car left the track after the next lap so the race restarted after the second lap. LYNN got good tow from first place ROSENQVIST and took the lead once again at Lisboa corner just as third place Lucas AUER crashed at San Fransisco corner.

Last year's champion of the Macau Grand Prix, Antonio F.DA COSTA became third place, and MARCIELLO became fourth place.
LYNN marked a remarkable time at 2'13" whilst expanding the distance between ROSENQVIST. Trailing behind, MARCIELLO overtook DA COSTA at Lisboa corner and became third place in the 5th lap.

ROSENQVIST marked his fastest lap at 2'12"312 on the 8th lap, but ultimately LYNN managed to evade and won first place for this Qualification Race. He has scored the Pole Position for tomorrow's Final Race.
ROSENQVIST finished in second place and MARCIELLO finished in third place.

Tomorrow's F3 Final Race will consist of 15 laps.
