FIA CHOOSES YOKOHAMA FOR SECOND YEAR IN WTCC
Following the success of the Yokohama ADVAN tyre in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the FIA has confirmed that Yokohama has been selected as the official tyre supplier again for the 2007 season.

2006 is the first year Yokohama has supplied tyres exclusively to an FIA World Championship. The decision by the FIA endorses the feedback from the teams at the satisfaction in the tyre performance and the service from Yokohama. WTCC drivers from all of the manufacturers have commented throughout the current season on the performance and consistency of the tyre, and in particular the equality between the tyre performance for front and rear wheel drive cars throughout the grid.

Commenting on the news, Shinichi Mori, General Manager of Yokohama Motorsport Department said; "The confirmed appointment is again a great honour for Yokohama. For this year's events so far, we are proud to have given our contribution to make the series extremely competitive, with both the front and rear wheel drive cars capable of winning races with our control tyres. We wish another prosperous year for the championship in 2007 and we are looking forward to be part of it again."
